The IUJ-JOM Guidelines to Authors

Manuscript Submission:

The manuscript submission for IUJ Journal of Management has to be made after registration in the journal website. Please read the Manuscript Submission guidelines and submit your article online. IUJ-JOM considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to IUJ_JOM, that they have not been published already nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. To expedite the review process, all manuscripts submitted must be prepared according to the following format.

Publication Fees:

The Journal IUJ- Journal of Management is a flagship Journal of ICFAI University Jharkhand which is a not for profit organization. The Journal was initiated to promote quality research in the Management domain among academicians, researchers and industry practitioners. Articles received from authors are reviewed and selected for publication, purely on the basis of merit and free of cost. Authors are not charged any Processing Charges, in any form such as editing/reviewing/processing/publishing charges.

Access of the Journal to the Readers:

The Journal also provides online access facility, free of cost, for all the issues excepting that latest issue is available free of cost, after a time lag of 3 months from the date of publication. The readers can review and download the articles and can cite the same for their research work.

Language:

Papers must be in good, grammatically correct English.

Word length:

Articles should be between 3,000 and 8,000 words.

Cover Page:

This contains the title of the manuscript (50 words maximum), author(s) names and their corresponding affiliations (along with designation) as well as complete mailing address, telephone, and E-mail. The designated corresponding author must be identified by an asterisk.

Title Page:

The second page consists of the manuscript title, abstract (maximum of 200 words) and a are requested to 3-5 key words for indexing purposes. To facilitate the double-blind review, process no material that identifies the author(s) should be placed on this page.

Text:

The paper should start with an introduction and end with a conclusion summarizing the findings of the paper.

Tables and Figures:

To the extent possible, tables and figures should appear in the document near/after where they are referenced in the text. Avoid the use of overly small type in tables. Figures/charts/Formulae to be pasted in the document as JPEG /PNG format. Also, a separate excel sheet should be forwarded which has all the tables and figures along with its title and table/figure number as in the document. No tables should be pasted as image. If any table or figure is taken from other sources, beneath the table or figure, the source has to be mentioned.

References and Citation:

Only works actually cited in the text should be included in the references as per following examples. Text citations should adhere to the style as mentioned below.

Note:

The author name(s) within parentheses will be given at the end of a statement; author name(s) outside the parentheses preferable starts the sentence eg: Research by Morgan (2012) showed that…

Citation within the text of the article should have the Arabic number in the superscript with square bracket. For eg. Robbins (2018) [1] and its citation details to be given in the reference section as stated below.

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission file is in MS office file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; Times New Roman; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Article should contain complete details of corresponding author, E-mail and Full postal address.
  • The paper should be accompanied with a declaration to the effect that the paper is the original work of the author(s) and that the paper has not been submitted for publication anywhere else.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Every effort has been made to ensure that author names are removed from the manuscript (following the instructions to ensure blind peer review).
  • All references mentioned in the Reference list are cited in the text, and vice versa. Also, the manuscript submitted to IUJ-JOM does not have any plagiarized contents.
  • Copy right form which includes the consent from the co-author.
